To say that I
spend many hours in front of a computer is an understatement. Most of my work
at the computer (graphics, web design, word processing, browsing) requires
extensive use of a mouse as a input and navigational device. I used to be
pretty cavalier with the mouse. I would dangle my wrist over the edge of my
table "workstation" for many hours as I moved the mouse to and fro -
compressing the nerves in my carpal tunnel with abandon. Carpal tunnel syndrome
could not happen to me. Then I got a wake-up call. I began to experience the

I have a background in human factors engineering. But in the tradition of the cobbler's children having no shoes, I neglected my training until my impending injury led me to develop the The Computer Armrest.

The Computer Armrest is 18" long by 4-1/2" wide with a positionable side-extension to accommodate a mouse pad. The armrest can be used by both right and left-handed persons. You can also use it without the side-extension as a support for your other hand. A unique clamping apparatus allows the armrest to be removably attached to a variety of desks and tables. The arm rest will fit any desk or table that has a 3/4" wide horizontal clearance under the desk or table surface where your existing mouse pad now resides.
