The computer armrest aligned for right handed operatorsTo say that I spend many hours in front of a computer is an understatement. Most of my work at the computer (graphics, web design, word processing, browsing) requires extensive use of a mouse as a input and navigational device. I used to be pretty cavalier with the mouse. I would dangle my wrist over the edge of my table "workstation" for many hours as I moved the mouse to and fro - compressing the nerves in my carpal tunnel with abandon. Carpal tunnel syndrome could not happen to me. Then I got a wake-up call. I began to experience the beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome.

I have a background in human factors engineering. But in the tradition of the cobbler's children having no shoes, I neglected my training until my impending injury led me to develop the The Computer Armrest.

Simply put, the Armchair World Computer Arm rest will reduce the likelihood of carpal tunnel syndrome by maintaining the wrist in proper alignment while you use your mouse. It also reduces stress on the neck and shoulder and reduces the likelihood of repetitive stress injuries to the elbow and shoulder. As a side benefit, use of the armrest reduces fatigue. It really works. In fact, after using my Computer Arm rest for one month, my symptoms completely disappeared!

The Computer Armrest is 18" long by 4-1/2" wide with a positionable side-extension to accommodate a mouse pad. The armrest can be used by both right and left-handed persons. You can also use it without the side-extension as a support for your other hand. A unique clamping apparatus allows the armrest to be removably attached to a variety of desks and tables. The arm rest will fit any desk or table that has a 3/4" wide horizontal clearance under the desk or table surface where your existing mouse pad now resides. The clamping apparatus also accommodates folding tables that have under-table bracing supports. Needless to say, the armrest will not mar fine furniture.

Our Computer Armrest is made by us by hand in the United States of prime laminated baltic birch and finished in clear semi-gloss Varathane®. Two solid walnut inserts on the top surface add a contrasting design element and set off the subtle color of the birch. The armrest is sleek, good looking and blends in with most decors.

The Armchair World Computer Armrest is 100% unconditionally guaranteed. Use it for 30 days and if you find that it doesn't help you or doesn't reduce fatigue while at your computer, return it for a full refund.

The Armchair World Computer Armrest is utility patent pending and covered by design patent.
